FWIW, I just started having this problem (boot to busybox prompt) on reboots after doing update/upgrade a couple hours ago. Been using 7.04b on ASUS Z62FM laptop, with few problems (like no sound) until now. Tried booting to 2.6.20-13-generic recovery mode, and it started up ok (and with sound again). -- Bob
