slmb: if you've got a better long-term suggestion for a mature file- manager (other than Nautilus), please file a new bug report to suggest it... at the moment the important focus is to incrementally fix the software we /have/ step-by-step than switch to complete unknowns for tasks that users depend on for their day-to-day working.
