I am marking this as a duplicate. Daniel, could you please look at the other bug(Bug #97682) and help me figure out if it is a bcm43xx-fwcutter problem, or in fact a kernel problem? How do I know where the problem lies - with the kernel or with the package I mentioned? I would gladly figure this out if I knew how. Sorry for my ignorance, and thanks a million for you help.
