Sorry to bother You again ... I double checked the TXT backtrace report. Please, see here my short task:
1) Run "list-dbgsym-packages.sh -t -p" with the pid number of the hplip toolbox python process. 2) Run "sudo apt-get install xxx" for every package listed by the shell script (there were 106 pacakges listed). 3) When I run the list-dbgsym-packages.sh again, there are still some packages listed, that are: libc6-i686-dbgsym libgail18-dbgsym lib gtk2.0-0-dbgsym libuuid1-dbgsym python-dbus-dbgsym python-gobject-dbgsym python-qt4-dbgsym python-sip-dbg 4) Run "sudo apt-get install" for the new short list, and I got: libc6-i686-dbgsym è già alla versione più recente. libuuid1-dbgsym è già alla versione più recente. python-dbus-dbgsym è già alla versione più recente. python-gobject-dbgsym è già alla versione più recente. python-qt4-dbgsym è già alla versione più recente. python-sip-dbg è già alla versione più recente. libgail18-dbgsym: Dipende: libgail18 (= 2.20.1-0ubuntu2) ma 2.20.1-0ubuntu2renbag1 sta per essere installato libgtk2.0-0-dbgsym: Dipende: libgtk2.0-0 (= 2.20.1-0ubuntu2) ma 2.20.1-0ubuntu2renbag1 sta per essere installato The last two lines are due to a PPA installed onto my system, which is necessary to temporary patch another RELEVANT BUG (see bug #529696 ... comment 56 ... https://launchpad.net/~renbag/+archive/ppa). Then it seems that all the relevant DBGSYM packages are installed. However, the stack trace missed some symbols, being the last 5 stack entries relate to python2.6. Please, tell me how to find the missing DBGSYM packages in order to identify the missing symbols from the stack. The crash is here EVERY DAY.
