I have the same 3com card and tried installing sudo apt-get install linux-firmware-nonfree
but now I seem to be having random lockups especially when deluge is running and there is a lot of traffic. I now have an internal broadcom card that isn't working well, slow, timeouts. Same with a pcmcia Atheros chipset card and lockups with the 3com card...
