Looks like I'm succeeding to upgrade but I wouldn't call it easy..
Upgrading from Edgy & KDE 3.5.6

I added the
 deb http://kubuntu.org/~jriddell/tmp/archive-edgy-dist-upgrade-kde356-i386/ ./
to sources list (I also tried the one Jonathan wrote earlier on this page - but
it wouldn't understand https:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/datat$ sudo apt-get update
E: Menetelmän ajuria /usr/lib/apt/methods/https ei löytynyt
E: Menetelmän ajuria /usr/lib/apt/methods/https ei löytynyt

(the driver for ... something was not found).

Ok, did that, updated, (installed kubuntu-desktop, adept with other stuff I had
cleaned earlier), run adept, update with adept, apply changes. I see the 'new
version' - windows, next, next, next, it closes. adept stays open. I close
adept, open it again, update, see the same window, update the kdelibs-packages
manually (as instructed by Jonathan). Got the same messages as other:
can't load DistUpgradeViewKDE
error: cannot import name konsolePart

 - and now FINALLY the upgrader seems to have started (after opening
adept once again & pressing update). At least it has disabled some of my
repos. Will save this & proceed & let you know if I still face some
problems.
