I've just installed a completely fresh eclipse on a completely fresh install of Lucid on a brand new Laptop. After adding in the eclipse-pde, jdt and plugin-cvs packages from synaptic (these aren't installed from the Software Centre by the looks of it), I was able to install eclipse plugins from the eclipse repos.
However, the subversion plugin (SVN) for eclipse ends up in a deadlock when I try and make a second commit. Strangely, the first time I commit a change to my remote SVN repo it works. But if I make another edit and try and submit, eclipse hangs. This was all working fine in 9.10 Ubuntu. On this new laptop, I will remove the openjdk and install the sun- java6-jdk to see if this fixes the issue. -- Eclipse hangs occasionally in Ubuntu Lucid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/574945 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
