Personally, I'm not sure if these packages could get into the repositories. If there was an automated process, then it could work, but I have to update the packages somewhat manually every time.
I have uploaded -16 in anticipation of the beta release. If I did everything perfect, it will be built by the end of today, and tomorrow I will update the meta package. This package has the nouveau drivers incorporated right in there, so... I don't know! People have been having troubles with that.
