I don't know if there is a bug number in Ubuntu, but what I'm talking
about is this change to the alsa-driver package:

alsa-driver (1.0.22.1+dfsg-0ubuntu2) lucid; urgency=low

  * Backport patches from upstream git master HEAD fixing spurious
    wakeups for PCM I/O because of incorrect hw ptr updates:
    + hwptr_pcm_io_fixes.patch
      (alsa-kernel: 4a296d10, 681d1dd5, 24109188, 3601282b;
       alsa-driver: 231e37b3)
