This has been working properly for me for a few days. I haven't rebooted in a while, so don't know if it will survive that. It was working properly at about every other lid close, now it works consistently for the last few days. I'll update if this problem comes back after a reboot. I usually reboot at least once a month or so! :)

I killed it because they put a space in the folder name--very dumb in my opinion) Installed the following packages: libpam0g-dev (1.1.0-2ubuntu1) libpam-thinkfinger (0.3+r118-0ubuntu4) libthinkfinger-dev (0.3+r118-0ubuntu4) libthinkfinger-doc (0.3+r118-0ubuntu4) libthinkfinger0 (0.3+r118-0ubuntu4) thinkfinger-tools (0.3+r118-0ubuntu4) (I finally got my fingerprint sensor working. Works for xscreensaver's lock screen too, maybe that has an impact?) Maybe the monkeying I did with the screensaver had something to do with this working now? Most of the upgrades were openoffice but maybe the sudo upgrade could have something to do with this?
