Sense, we use Fix Committed on the desktop team for GNOME packages when they are fixed upstream. The Launchpad bug watches are often unreliable (this one still says "Unknown" for the upstream task), which makes it difficult to find which Ubuntu bugs are fixed by a particular update (so we can add the numbers to the changelog). Using Fix Committed makes it easier to find bugs that are fixed upstream and makes it significantly faster for us to update packages when upstream releases a new tarball.
