This is indeed fixed upstream. However, the status Fix Committed has got a different use. Please read the documentation at <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Status>. Thank you for helping!
The way upstream decided to solve this by letting Nautilus forget about everything related to the panes. They said that it is not something Nautilus was meant for and that if you want to compare directories the best way is to place two windows side by side. Furthermore, if I've read the blog posts well it could even happen that panes are going to be removed from Nautilus. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Committed => Triaged -- does not remember the adjustments of extra pane https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/515057 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
