Thanks for the illuminating link. However, it does *not* address 6 months of nonworking Wine.
I just cannot fathom it. The Niel patch "Just Makes It Work", but it is not distributed through Ubuntu's update system? How many users are actually affected by this? I and a few others come here whining - and I believe we represent a sliver a fraction of a percentage of the possibly affected users. And the fix IS RIGHT DAMN THERE. I just simply cannot comprehend this utterly *idiotic* decision. And nerds wonder why Linux doesn't "take off"? I am just SO tired of all the bullshit with Linux. Config files?! I am WAY past the age where I found it cool to hack on some stupid script file hidden some stupid place somewhere in the stupid system to have *Flash* and *Eclipse* actually *work* on my machine. -- Occasional sound drops in Wine via PulseAudio https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/371897 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
