I can confirm this issue. While running Kubuntu, when I insert a flash drive, Nautilus will be launched AND the device notification icon will display the flash drive. Clicking on the notification icon will launch dolphin. However dolphin will be unable to unmount the device, complaining that the device is not mounted by hal. Nautilus can unmount it.
