If you select the right card in the xorg.conf file, load the nvidia-glx drivers and restricted kernel modules, then it works fine (or at least as fine as the nvidia driver allows). But new users are never gonna figure that out - they at least need to have a desktop with the correct nv driver and some kind of useable resolution.
