I can reproduce the bug :
- clic on "floppy" in nautilus does nothing (stay in last place visited)
- clic on "floppy" in places : I heard a little noise from the floppy drive,
but have no software access

But it's not a hardware/linux problem. With dolphin (KDE), I can
read/write files on a floppy disk without any pain (just by clicking on
it, as a normal user). This is working because ubuntu's default's
install added floppy in my fstab, and KDE just mount it, whereas gnome
is trying to mount it via fuse/gvfs.
