It is not a fix, but launchpad has no status 'worked around'. Yes, it's a shame that such trivial thing stayed for a year or so and after that we only got a workaround which most users were applying anyway. So there is a lack of workforce in Ubuntu and open source in general, but YOU can help. Roll up your sleeves and start working!
