TBH, The changes look rather big to me. The security fix in the changelog seems to be already in the 1.70 release, which we already ship. Do you happen to know when upstream intends to release 1.80? How "important" is this new version to the kubuntu pepole?
Looking again at the fixes, it indeed seems to be a good idea to have the new version in feisty.
