Public bug reported:

I attempted to suspend it before going to sleep for the night. When I
came back to it this morning, there was a blinking text mode cursor in
the upper right of the screen, but nothing else. ctrl-alt-f1 gave me a
virtual terminal, but then hitting ctrl-alt-f7 to get back to X caused
the machine to give a black screen and stop responding to input. At that
point, I power cycled the machine. When it booted up, I logged in, and
the Gnome volume applet failed to start.

ProblemType: KernelOops
Annotation: This occured during a previous suspend and prevented it from
resuming properly.
