amixer brought this error: amixer: Mixer attach default error: No such device asound conf list brought up this: Names of available sound cards: I also have a question. When I try to install packages it says to run dpkg configure -a, and so I did. But I have to be logged on as root. I looked at a forum and found out how but it said it may 'cause your system to crash or allow hackers to get into your system. My question is do you think I should login as root and try fix the dpkg error?
