Hello,

I believe the fix below does not work in all cases. I continue to get
this error:

"Could not save the file
/media/directory_name/pezarro/t...save_error_workaround.txt
Unexpected error: Text file busy"

Here are the details for the cifs mount:
//filer_name/filer_folder /media/directory_name cifs
credentials=/root/.smbcredentials,workgroup=MyWorkGroup,uid=1000,gid=100
1,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777,rw

I am running Ubuntu 8.10. If migrating to Ubuntu 9.4 was thought to
remedy my trouble, I would certainly try it.

I quite like gedit and it would be nice to be able to use it error free
with my cifs mount. Another workaround is to use a different text editor
such as Gvim.

Cheers,
