I tried it and it didn't work - it seems to be specific to jaunty. I am still 
on intrepid, but using the latest network manager from the launchpad ppa.

I've been trying to figure out what's required to get a new 3G card
working with NM and so far, I've come up with nothing. Isn't there a
generic way we can get all usbserial-supported 3G cards to be recognized
by NM?
