The single network device appearing to HAL is your Marvell ethernet card. However, in your /etc/network/interfaces you have it configured for static IP operation.
As noted in /usr/share/doc/network-manager/README.Debian, the card needs to either be left unconfigured in the interfaces file or configured as dhcp only.
