In order to be able to reproduce it correctly, I removed any trace of f-spot: $ rm -rf ./.gnome2/f-spot
And then I launched f-spot with Nautilus button. And as you can see on the print-screen destination folder selected is "Jlhenry" (my username and the root of my user directory: /home/jlhenry) and not "Photos". After having imported some photos, I go to Edit->Preferences and default importation folder is "Photos".
