I can confirm the problem on 64-bit Jaunty Kubuntu and an Asus
EN9800GTX+.

After the 180.35 update, login would occasionally leave me at a black
screen until I restarted KWin or Compiz via yakuake (processes were
loading, the desktop just wasn't showing).  I also began noticing lots
of defunct unkillable processes (wget, for instance) that didn't seem
related to any recent updates and yakuake would not let me exit a shell
or use ctrl+c/ctrl+z in any of the sessions.  This was 100% recreate-
able on every login.

Backleveling to 180.29 causes the issues to go away completely.
