I can confirm I have the same problem using this time FreeNX to manage a Ubuntu 8.04.1 . On the console itself, it does show the correct behavior for the "unlock" button. But not in remote management.
I understand that this is expected behavior but like Robert, I was unable to set the correct policies. Is there a way to bypass PolicyKit for a specific user, for all admin tasks done remotely (in my case, Nx) ? Thanks !
