** Description changed: I downloaded Ubuntu 8.10, both 32bit and 64bit versions, and I burned the ISO images on two separate CDs then I tried to boot into the demo mode from these CDs. After about a minute of loading the OS, it ends up with a black screen displaying some error messages, as described below: 1. For the 64bit version: 126.765019] end_request: I/O error, dev sr0, sector 1431680 126.765867] Buffer I/O error on device sr0, logical block 178970 My computer is HP Pavilion a1600n AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual 3800+ 2 GHz 1 GB RAM - I tried burning the ISO images again, and when booting I get the exactly - the same errors. I also got these errors with the beta version.
