Hi, Concerning the bug, I received the following messages from an Xorg-maintainer: <quote> XChangePointerDevice is deprecated with server 1.4 and will always return BadDevice. Same with XChangeKeyboardDevice. There's no use for it anymore anyway. </quote> Since these function(s) does not seem to be maintained anymore, the solution goes another way. However, it IS still an issue for me. Briefly, I think you may close the bug report as "UNRESOLVED".
