As you've pointed out, both of the following kernel config options do
not look to be enabled for the -server kernel flavor:
CONFIG_X86_GENERICARCH
CONFIG_X86_BIGSMP
However, the kernel is currently frozen for Intrepid since we're so
close to release. This will likely have to wait until Jaunty to be
addressed.
