As reported against #221953 it's not an issue for me having converted all logical data drives to NTFS, then installed NTFS Configuration Tool and manually created desktop drive icons, but it may still be a big problem for those using FAT32 logical data drives. Changes of GpartEd seem to have made no change, but new dual labelling for Mountpoints is useful. Life's too short, so suggest closure of this bug report, whilst for Ubuntu 8.10, #277448 is a more serious problem.
