The upstream bug is about firefox's general behavior on third-party web pages, this is about the behavior on a web page that Ubuntu controls. Regardless of whether FF decides to the default behavior of focus events in javascript, we can change the behavior in this case by changing the source of the Ubuntu default homepage.
