It is attached herewith. I was able to run apt-get update in terminal of one user after having completion of startup. The error reports furnished by me were encountered during startup in recovery mode wherein i ran apt-get update in terminal. However symptoms reported still persist. The disappearance of icons occurs in desktop on clicking at QUIT icon
