Tested on fully updated (of 16.9.2008) Intrepid Ibex Alpha 5 and no ill effects after ejecting and unmounting assorted media (cd-r's, cd-rw's, dvd+-r's, dvd+-rw's). As of now, it appears this bug has been resolved, I will open a new bug if a regression is found afterwards.
