In amilo 3438g laptop, pci=noacpi nolapic acpi=off gives additional error:
BIOS bug, local APIC #0 not detected!...
And frecuency scaling stops working.

None of the boot options pointed by Ben work, the devices that seem to
have problems are:

0000:00:1e.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corporation 82801 Mobile PCI Bridge (rev d4)
(prog-if 01 [Subtractive decode])
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0

        I/O ports at 1000 [size=256]
Capabilities: [e0] Power Management version 2

Using kernel version 2.6.15-23-386 or 2.6.15-25-386. I believe this is
some kind of kernel bug with these devices on different notebooks, and
possibly there's no way to run RAID configurations on them.
