Post-doctoral Position in Causal Discovery
Postdoc position open in Causal Discovery at the Department of Computer
Science, National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics
(INAOE), Puebla, Mexico.
The position is in the context of a project on “Learning Causal Models”:

sponsored by CONACYT, under the direction of Prof. L. Enrique Sucar, and
the participation of several researchers, PhD and Master Students.
The main research topics include, among others:
- Developing novel techniques for learning causal graphical models from
observations and interventions, considering unobserved cofactors
- Analyzing the interactions of reinforcement learning and casual
inference
- Applications in robotics and brain connectivity
The postdoc will independently conduct research and will also be
involved in shaping the research of the group and supervising students.
Requirements:
* - PhD in Computer Science or related area.
* - Experience in machine learning and/or graphical models.
* - Programming skills
* - Availability to relocate to Puebla, Mexico starting in January 2021.
INAOE, https://www.inaoep.mx/en/, is a national research lab in Mexico,
located in Cholula, Puebla, providing an excellent environment for
research and graduate studies. The department of computer science has
more than 30 full time staff, and is recognized as one of the top CS
departments in Mexico.
