Best, Jun == Post Message == ## CALL FOR PAPERS Neural Computing and Applications to Marine Data Analytics on Frontiers in Marine Science, ## Journal and research topic: Frontiers in Marine Science publishes rigorously peer-reviewed research that advances our understanding of all aspects of the environment, biology, ecosystem functioning and human interactions with the oceans. The aim of this research topic is to encourage the development of deep neural networks (DNN) tailored for geography, ocean and atmosphere (GOA) data analytics, including innovative interdisciplinary study of effective DNN architecture, learning techniques and applications to deal with GOA data, as well as to motivate new tasks and problems related to GOA data analytics. ## Contributions Contributions can be of two forms: full papers and short reports. A typical full paper should be within 12 pages including all figures, tables and references, formatted in double column and in 11pt font-size. A short-paper is within 6 pages. The interested scope of the contributions includes but not limited to the following topics: * Novel neural network architectures and learning algorithms to deal with signals generated by real world physical/chemical/biological processes. * Transfer or semi-supervised learning methods for small-size large-scale data. * Interpretable learning methods for predictive modelling of GOA data. * ENSO prediction using learning-based data models. * Data-based chaotic process modelling. * Neural network based differential equation solvers. * Temporal data modelling. * Bayesian modelling of GOA data. * Proposal or review of challenges in GOA data analytics for which the new generation of neural network models provide potential solutions. ## Key Dates 25 OCT 2020 Expression of Interest: Abstract submission 25 FEB 2021 Full paper submission deadline.
