Public bug reported: The title says it all!
rsync with -fake-super and --link-dest copies symlinks even when they haven't changed. This is incorrect behavior: symlinks, like all other files, should be copied only if they have changed. Without -fake-super, it works fine (nothing is copied unless it is changed). Without --link-dest, it works fine (nothing is copied unless it is changed). With both options specified, symlinks are copied regardless of whether or not they changed ** Affects: rsync (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to rsync in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1619784 Title: rsync with -fake-super and --link-dest copies symlinks even when they haven't changed Status in rsync package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: The title says it all! rsync with -fake-super and --link-dest copies symlinks even when they haven't changed.
