Brother scanner (MFC-465CN) has worked since it I bought it (Ubuntu 8.04). Sometime you have to jump through some hoops but I have always made it work. I have now tried everything, uninstalled and reinstalled brscan2-0.2.5-1.amd64.deb, brscan-skey-0.2.4-1.amd64.deb and brother-udev-rule-type1-1.0.0-1.all.deb. Also, updated the rules manually and applied permission changes manually. NOTHING! Something is broken!!!
