As part of the big bug review for 16.04 LTS I have tested this on 15.10 and the bug is still there.

A screenshot of this is attached. This negative feedback conveys the inaccurate impression that the user's search has failed. Instead, it would seem to me more appropriate to initially present either a blank slate or a message with a more neutral tone, such as "Results will appear here."
