Discovery invention
YM: There are Nobel Prizes for inventions. And every invention harms
nature. There are many who do not even know the difference between
discoveries and inventions. Discoveries are the automatic lessons from
nature as a result of its natural growth. Inventions are just manipulations
of nature to create machines and every machine harms nature.
KR Discovery denotes that all existed already but we got the
knowhow only then. Invention is the application of science. AND ALL
INVENTIONS ARE MADE ONLY WITH A GOOD INTENT AND THE PURPOSE. BUT MISUSE OF
IT, IS HUMAN DEBAUCHERY. X RAY IS NOT USEFUL? COMPUTER IS NOT USEFUL? I
KNEW YM ONLY BECAUSE OF IT. BUT IF SOMEONE IS SENDING TRECHEROUS MESSAGES,
INVENTION CANNOT BE BLAMED.
The global economy is currently facing significant challenges,
resulting in profound changes in our daily lives that may have long-lasting
effects. AI, a developing technology, introduces novel risks and problems
to the financial sector . There is a concern among scholars that the
extensive integration of AI technology may lead to significant reductions
in employment opportunities and exacerbate wealth disparities . According
to estimates, the implementation of STARA (smart technology, artificial
intelligence, robotics, and algorithms) is projected to eliminate
approximately 33 % of employment by 2025 By 2030, AI might reach up to
$15.7 trillion in global economies, playing a critical role in a country's
economic growth . Implementing climate mitigation regulations in nations
that heavily rely on carbon-intensive industries and energy exports may
decelerate economic growth or hinder industrial development in certain
areas while simultaneously stimulating growth in other sectors .
Significantly, Science and Technology have played a crucial role in
enabling humanity to adopt a comprehensive strategy that surpasses current
human constraints and enhances circumstances on labor, education, the aging
process, and physical and cognitive well-being. AI and robotics are
essential technologies within the context of the IR4 . The rapid rate of
development and range of these innovations is leading to a transformation
of previously uncertain environments from the late 20th Century into more
challenging ones, resulting in the development of disaggregated networks
into dispersed networks.
With an emphasis on the impact of humans on natural processes,
environmental science is an interdisciplinary study that considers both
environmental and human variables. Considering the rapid growth of AI, it
becomes crucial to comprehend the environmental ramifications, obstacles,
and prospects associated with this emerging technology AI has the potential
to enhance data analysis by improving accuracy, thereby enabling
decision-making that is grounded in evidence. Ecologically sustainable
products cause minimal environmental issues. AI is anticipated to have a
significant impact on various domains, including global productivity,
equality and inclusion, ecological outcomes, and numerous other sectors,
both in the immediate and long-term future. Recent research investigations
mainly emphasize the correlation between water pollution and the
progressive advancement of industry and urbanization. However, the extent
to which climate change may amplify the occurrence and intensity of extreme
climatic periods, thereby affecting human well-being, remains uncertain.
The primary issue of numerous societies globally is environmental
contamination, which presents a significant challenge . The main aim of
this study is to determine the implications of IR and AI on the future of
human and environmental health. The first section clarifies IR, AI, and
machine-human concepts and the benefits of innovation and AI to the
environment. Also examined the challenges presented by these innovations
and recommended the future research direction to acknowledge and make
provisions for the shifts in progress of these changes and challenges
(innovations).
Publications from diverse academic databases, such as Google Scholar, IEEE
Xplore, and ScienceDirect, as well as esteemed conference proceedings; The
selection criteria were principally determined by the paper's contribution
to comprehending the role of AI in environmental management, its influence
on environmental well-being, and novel approaches for promoting
sustainability. This methodology enabled us to collect various viewpoints
and valuable understandings regarding the subject matter.. For instance,
multiple studies emphasize the application of AI in monitoring and reducing
pollution levels, indicating
that enhanced traffic management systems using artificial intelligence
(AI) can decrease urban air pollution by 30 % . This involves using machine
learning algorithms to forecast pollution trends and optimize tactics for
mitigating its impact. Machine learning algorithms can accurately forecast
pollution trends with a precision rate of 92 %, hence assisting in
implementing efficient mitigation solutions.
AI technology enhances solar power projections by 20 %, resulting in a
15 % increase in energy efficiency.
In addition, AI applications improve renewable energy efficiency by 25
% (Wankhede et al., 2024).
AI implemented in climate modeling significantly decreases forecast
errors by 50 %, which is paramount for climate scientists.
AI-driven agricultural practices increase crop yields by 10 %,
aligning with SDG 2, and water management reduces water wastage by 40 %,
supporting SDG 6.
However, challenges like data privacy, algorithmic bias, and
environmental impact need addressing for sustainable AI implementation. The
aforementioned themes highlight the various aspects of AI's involvement in
tackling environmental issues and emphasize the significance of continuous
research to enhance these technologies for sustainable results.
AI and why does AI matter
AI encompasses both a domain of scientific inquiry and a technological
instrument. It is an interdisciplinary discipline that endeavors to develop
computer systems possessing cognitive capabilities equivalent to, or
potentially beyond, those of human beings AI is the technological imitation
of human intelligence, and AI uses several expert systems, such as various
machines capable of speech recognition, machine learning, and machine
vision. AI is a machine that has designed human cognition skills, and
cognition skills mean sensory experiences, which recognize human speech,
indication between learning and solving problems, and thinking about past
experiences. This definition is rejected. Traditional definitions of AI
rely on the goal of creating machines that can mimic human cognition and
behavior Unfortunately, the boundaries of AI are not well-defined . Another
definition of AI is "the technology and science that enables machines to
act with characteristics that, at one point, we considered necessitated
human intelligence"
AI is a collection of various computer techniques that have appeared over
several decades as researchers in AI have pursued their work in academia,
industry, and individual laboratories . AI technologies are presently
providing novel economic prospects and altering the dynamics of wealth
generation and distribution within the economy. AI is and will continue to
be, a game-changer in many ways. The primary purpose of AI is to develop a
fully operational AI system with human-level capabilities, and
comprehending the fundamental structure of intelligence is considered an
additional aim. AI can potentially be beneficial, but it could also be
harmful to civilization.
Too much reliance on technology
Modern innovations have contributed to societal well-being through
agriculture, communication systems, healthcare, industrialization, and
ventilation advancements. However, it is necessary to refute the presented
argument due to the adverse consequences of these modern inventions. These
consequences include environmental degradation caused by specific
innovations, an excessive proliferation of diseases resulting from genetic
modification, social isolation, mental health issues arising from prolonged
internet exposure, reduced opportunities for physical activities, and time
wastage. In the realm of inventions designed to serve humanity, it is
imperative to exercise caution before their implementation, ensuring the
influential and efficient utilization of technology while safeguarding the
well-being of individuals. The availability of unrestricted and convenient
access to a diverse array of information promotes the facilitation of the
exchange of ideas and opinions . The advent of technology led to the
emergence of the Internet, which subsequently revolutionized the lifestyles
of individuals. It offers a straightforward means for individuals to get
novel information and presents a more affordable alternative for
individuals previously engaged in shopping activities. However, as the
proverb proposes, "Everything is dual," implying that all things
simultaneously possess positive and negative attributes; the Internet is
not exempt from this phenomenon. Currently, the Internet is widely utilized
due to its extensive availability of information. The Internet provides
users with rapid access to information, yet it is important to note that
certain sources may disseminate false or misleading content, thereby
influencing individuals' perspectives and decisions. Regrettably, the
proliferation of inaccurate information is also prevalent through social
media platforms One such threat is the proliferation of false news (FN);
considering the increasing prevalence of FN on social media platforms,
apprehensions have been expressed over its content's trustworthiness,
precision, and credibility.
Conclusion
AI is an umbrella term for a wide range of computer systems that have
developed for several decades as AI researchers have pursued their work at
universities, private companies, and independent labs. Presently, the
global community faces various environmental challenges that require the
adoption of multiple approaches to tackle them and achieve the SDGs targets
effectively. Considerable attention has been placed on reducing the
ecological consequences of the IR to address the difficulties mentioned
above and prioritize protecting human lives and the environment. As a
result, sophisticated technological advancements, such as AI technologies,
have been developed, and these technologies offer extensive capabilities
for processing the large amount of data collected by monitoring systems and
producing meaningful insights. Enormous research has been dedicated to the
examination of sustainability. Nations must redirect the inclinations of
their younger population away from unproductive engagement with social
media platforms towards more meaningful and constructive endeavors. We must
negate that conformism will make humanity lazy; thus, controversies are
better to prompt critical thinking and debates. The government and private
sectors of nations need to dig in deep about this issue by informing people
what exactly misinformation is and how it harms your mental health with
references to science, literature, and philosophy. The environmental
implications posed by integrating IR and AI technologies provide
significant concerns that necessitate immediate attention and resolution.
