Dear Surendra Varma
I could understand your anxiety. Not all Insurances play havoc and
all insurers are also not honest. In the world Insurance battle is going on
forever. Some time back I wrote in the same column about it all. The cause
of insurance denial is due to the multi speciality hospitals' false claims
of bills to match your limits of insurance and plunder as much as they
can. Hence Insurance companies whose doctors sitting on the other side
feel it is an unnecessary claim while if they are working in the hospital
will coolly add the same as if required. 90% of the doctors are useless who
work for their stay in the hospital by raising all under the sky. Since we
lost the family doctor concept and praise the MShospitals with fame and
names we are to be blamed. If you debate with the doctor they will extend
your stay and earn. By hook or crook they will exploit you which insurance
is not bound to pay. The joke part of MSHospitals is they have insurance of
their own floated as hospitals will add and their ins will not pay; but you
must pay; and hospital earns; and doctors are paid a crore a month; the
doctors exist only to use your insurance. Because in the USA prosecution is
harsh Insurance to a greater extent behave; but hospitals misbehave as they
may not get what they want. In India suit cases of MSH decide the favours
where Govt cannot control anything. We have to question the doctors and see
the impacts and choose. Only less damage can be incurred.
