KADU TIRUTHI SHIVA TEMPLE

Some time back I wrote Kerala history where there were observations
by so many Historians of Kerala, who spoke about the FANTASY OF NAMBOODRIS
IN THE FABRICATIONS OF STHALA PURANAMS INCONGRENT TO HISTORY; THAT IS WHY
WE LOST CRDIBILITY AGAAINST THE WEST THEORIES. Every temple of Kerala was
built in the kritha yuga only!!! Here the kadu titurhi; kadu tiruthi is a
Tamil word where a forest was annihilated and a temple built; of course,
there was a fire accident and loss of property were there. Later the temple
was built.

The Kaduthuruthy Mahadeva Temple was built in the 10th century.
Pandya Kings were the main patrons of this temple. The temple’s courtyard
spreads over eight acres of land. The temple premises have been leveled
with river sand. Massive compound walls protect the temple, and there are
four towers on all four sides. There is a protected platform near the
eastern tower. A pipal, a mango, and a jackfruit tree grow on the platform.
The golden flagstaff is the pride of the Kaduthuruthy Mahadeva Temple.
Thalikotta is a fort surrounding the temple. "Kotta" means 'fort' in the
local language; that is how the temple got its name. Visitors reach the
Kaduthuruthy Mahadeva Temple by ascending 11-15 steps. It has a Mukha
Mandapam and a sacred temple tank. The Mandapam before the shrine's sanctum
displays an exotic collection of wood carvings depicting the story of
"Karthaveerarjuneeyam." Shiva is the presiding deity of the Kaduthuruthy
Mahadeva Temple. Devotees can worship a three-foot Shiva Linga in the
sanctum. It is the smallest Shiva Linga that Khara installed, and it faces
the east. Visitors can see Ettumanoorappan and Vaikathappan, the
sub-deities, at the south and north gates. There is an idol of Sree
Ganapathy on the southern side. Dharma Sastha and Durga also have separate
shrines. An idol of the priest who lost his life in the temple fire can be
seen in the northern part of the temple complex. There is no Nandi here,
which is a rarity.

When RAMAYANA TOOK PLACE THERE WERE NO PARASURAMA WHO EXCAVATED
KERALA ONLY LATER AND IF SO HOW KHARA DUSHANA COULD HAVE BUILT A TEMPLE
WHICH NAMBUDRI HAD KNOWN ABOUT? Valmiki speaks so bad about Khara dushana.

In the Ramayana, the Khara-Dushana Forest refers to the Dandaka forest,
where Khara and Dushana, half-brothers of Ravana, ruled as Rakshasa
generals. They controlled Janasthana, a kingdom bordering Rama's territory.
Khara and Dushana, along with their army, attacked Rama and Lakshmana after
Lakshmana disfigured their sister Shurpanakha. Rama defeated them in this
forest. The Dandaka Forest is described as a place of both sacred hermitage
and wild, demonic presence. The Ramayana mentions several forests, but
Dandakaranya is the most prominent. It's a vast forest region where Rama,
Sita, and Lakshmana spent a significant part of their exile. Other
significant forests include Chitrakoot, Panchvati, Kishkindha, and Ashok
Vatika. These forests are associated with various events and characters in
the epic, like Rama's meeting with sages, Sita's abduction, and the search
for Sita. Dandakaranya is a historical region in India, mentioned in
Ramayana. It is located in the Bastar region of present-day state of
Chhattisgarh in the central part of India. IS THIS KERALA?

It is believed that devotees can attain abundant blessings by praying to
the Kaduthuruthy, Vaikom, and Ettumanoor deities together at this
Kaduthuruthy Mahadeva Temple.
