*“Hi, Trump, this is China AI calling. How do you like us NOW?”*
<https://substack.com/@jonrappoport>

*Jan 27, 2025*
*The Chinese have just unleashed a new AI masterpiece into the world.
Called DeepSeek. (link
<https://www.zerohedge.com/technology/chinas-deepseek-bombshell-rocks-trumps-500bn-ai-boondoggle>,
and link
<https://www.unz.com/mwhitney/chinas-deepseek-bombshell-rocks-trumps-500b-ai-boondoggle/>)*
*An aspect of this free bot (similar to ChatGPT) is anybody in the world
can load it and use it and see the code and play with them and come up with
their versions and inventions…so this is technology DECENTRALIZED to an
enormous degree.*
*And this is China showing America that “China lags behind in tech” is a
sheer delusion. China is forging ahead.*
*And its latest product, DeepSeek, is free.*
*What else is China going to make free to the world?*
*Big US tech giants are wondering and trembling. Talk about an undercut.*
*The US and China are in a tech war and all of a sudden China has played a
winning hand.*
*You could say this is what a Communist government DOES to disrupt free
market capitalism…except it hasn’t really done it before. Russia certainly
hasn’t. And up until now, China hasn’t, either. With its huge power…*
*—I’m talking about the all-powerful Chinese government—it has directed its
workforce to put together stunning AI tech, and the workforce has obeyed,
as it must—and now the Chinese government is unleashing that tech into the
heart of capitalism—*
*—Some reportage on this event calls the Chinese product low cost and other
reportage calls it free—*
*Either way, it’s as if you find out the software package you just bought
from Apple for $199—there’s a slightly better alternative you can get from
China for $1.50.*
*It’s not the same as buying a plastic soldier from China vs. buying one
from a company in Baltimore.*
*We’re not talking about cheap crap anymore.*
*We’re talking about high-tech and AI.*
*AI. The wave of the future.*
*Suppose China decides to make more moves? Suppose the Chinese government
invents more and more AI and keeps offering it for pennies on the dollar or
for free?*
*Because it can. Because it has the brainpower and the research centers and
the workforce. And the commanding Communist government that runs everything
for a billion people.*
*And let’s say it wants to rip giant holes in Silicon Valley. It says to
the US government: “You want to make trade deals with us that are favorable
to YOU and terrible for us? You want to treat us like your bitch who makes
all your crap products for you? Well, here’s a whole string of non-crap
very high-use tech AI products we’re making…and guess what? We’re giving
them away. To anyone in the world. Who’s the bitch now? Who’s winning now?”*
*DISRUPTION.*
*Of course, US consumers would be delighted to buy one stunning piece of AI
after another for pennies, or get them for nothing. From China.*
*But the long view is…the whole capitalist economy could experience a giant
hernia. Or worse.*
*And I’m not only talking about crony capitalism. I’m talking about the
basic free market—Americans paying reasonable prices for reasonable
products made in America, all sorts of products, in a system where both the
consumer and the seller make out all right.*
*THAT system could suffer giant holes blown in it. By the Chinese
government giving away very valuable AI for nothing. And then US consumers
would definitely feel the boggling effects.*
*That’s the warning shot the Chinese just fired across the bow of America.*
*And the shot just happened to land at the feet of Donald Trump, as he was
standing in the Roosevelt Room of the White House, with two demented psycho
tech billionaires, Sam Altman and Larry Ellison, announcing a $500 billion
build-out
<https://jonrappoport.substack.com/p/rna-cancer-vaccines-created-by-ai-for-500-billion-dollars>
of
American high-tech AI. With Trump talking about American tech superiority.*
*A coincidence? I don’t think so.*
*I’ll tell you this. There are millions and millions of people who are so
enamored with AI products that they’re willing to heap great praise on the
Chinese government and socialism as a system because…they’re getting those
products for pennies or nothing.*
*“Yeah, listen, you know who just showed up at my front door? Mao and
Stalin! Wow. And they gave me an AI range finder I can use to look at outer
space a billion light years away. They GAVE it to me! And I can access the
code that make it work and play with the code and put together my own deep
space range finder. You know, I think I was wrong about those guys. They’re
not bad at all. They harnessed their own citizens to make gifts for the
whole world! What could be wrong with that? Hell, if that’s Communism, I’m
in. I’m on board.”*
*Sooner or later, this had to happen.*
*And now it has.*
*RED ALERT.*
*If you think this is abstract, think again. It’s as if tomorrow, you go to
the supermarket to buy groceries, and out in the parking lot there’s a big
stand selling fruits and vegetables and meat at a tenth of the price of
those items in the market. And then next week, you pull up at the gas
station, and you notice that right next door, a new station is selling gas
at 40 cents a gallon.*
*“Hello, President Trump, this is China calling. How do you like us NOW?”*
*The war between free market Capitalism and Communism has just experienced
massive ear-splitting THUNDER.*
