The problem with the present day young, middle aged and sr citizens is ( from my circle including groups like this where we have not met or know each other except in a few cases) they are heavily influenced by their parents, grand parents and would still vote for Congress - they claim it fought for our independence. And most of them are admirers of Nehru and have named their children from his family. Any amount of explanation that the INC, if it still existed after independence, was split into Indira Congress Kamaraj or Old Congress And Spliter groups like Tamizh Manila Congress etc. and hence it is not the INC falls on deaf ears. Brahmins in T N still support Congress saying they are pro Brahmins forgetting they are trying to destroy our religion. If the root is cut, where will the branches go? They refuse to see the reality. Slowly they are switching to the BJP thanks to Modi and Annamalai. I have met auto drivers who even today swear only by the DMK because for the 3rd or 4th generation they have been voting for that party and don't find it easy to switch, even though they know it is a corrupt party. Only a few say they voted for the BJP for the first time in 2024 because of Annamalai and Modi. As an analogy, if our parents were using Colgate, we automatically use that brand without even thinking, as we are used to it for long. Habits die hard and that's why the first mover advantage is so highly spoken of. It is difficult to change a habit. Voting for a party is a habit of generations. And that's why we have this genuinely " Tolerance" crowd who still "see no wrong, hear no wrong and speak no wrong" and support Congress as in their opinion, it is a truly " secular" party - whatever it means. They know not, to paraphrase Jesus, their blind belief is destroying Bharat and Hinduism. They are, like the saying goes " kan irundum kurudu" meaning they are blind even though they have eyes that an see. But they refuse to see the reality. God Bless this country.
