I mean a stream of transient events worth being aware of, if you consider
Telepathy to be the actor, and awareness to be the ability to read the
incoming packets' language fluently.

google already merges IM chats with email conversation threads.
wouldn't that be something worth phantasizing about for the Free desktop?
