Tested on the Intel WiFi Link 5300 in my ThinkPad T500 and iwn(4) seem
to retain the current connection through a scan.

However, I'm getting a "ifconfig: SIOCG80211ALLNODES: Inappropriate
ioctl for device" and the scan does not return any access points; I have
to set it manually (ifconfig iwn0 nwid <nwid> wpakey <wpakey>).

But I'm running a current from the beginning of August and that
alongside with my trunk(4) configuration may be (part of) the issue!?

$ dmesg | grep iwn
iwn0 at pci2 dev 0 function 0 "Intel WiFi Link 5300" rev 0x00: msi, MIMO
3T3R, MoW, address <MAC>

Erling
