I personally think that this will look great and will play with it. I'm hoping to spend a good part of this 12h flight ahead of us asleep, but my guess is there will be enough awake-time to implement this idea.
Thanks again for the great information and especially the details about color values, etc. That makes it so much easier for me to try this. /D -- >From my phone -------- Original Message -------- From: Davide DB <[email protected]> Sent: Tue Jun 20 15:58:54 GMT+08:00 2017 To: Linus Torvalds <[email protected]> Cc: Subsurface Mailing List <[email protected]> Subject: Re: Overthinking on Subsurface mobile app UX On 20 June 2017 at 08:04, Linus Torvalds <[email protected]> wrote: > I like small text, and colored text or background is usually a horrible > mistake. This reminds me "quote" effect in email text but I'd much rather prefer to stay consistent with proven standard mobile UX patterns. It's a matter of personal taste of course but do you find these examples unreadable? On both the apps "month" text is #757575 gray bold and ribbon/strip background is light gray #EEEEEE. Same color combination is used in other apps so I guess it is a standard. I find it very readable on all my Android devices. *Google Docs* [image: Inline images 1] *Google Drive* [image: Inline images 2] -- Davide https://vimeo.com/bocio/videos ------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ subsurface mailing list [email protected] http://lists.subsurface-divelog.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/subsurface
