How many SquirrelMail installs you have on your machine?

There should only be one, why should I have more than that?

Change something else in SquirrelMail configuration and see if it
shows up in your SquirrelMail interface. For example - enable
message_details or info plugins.

I everything I change does show up. I experimented with the databases
before, and it worked.

Two things.
1. owner field value must be set to 'global'. Other entries are ignored.

I changed that, and it worked. You should add that to your documentation... I wonder why I seem to be the only one to have this problem.

2. enable writing into global db address book, fix 1.4.4 issues with
backend selection (http://www.squirrelmail.org/wiki/KnownBugs) and try
adding some entries with SquirrelMail address book form or use
abook_import_export plugin to import your address book data.

I do not need writing into the adressbook, but thanks anyway.

Thank you.

Best Regards,
Martin
