Please explain "broken". It is impossible to understand your problem, if
you don't provide symptoms. SquirrelMail all_your_base_belongs_to_sm
plugin is not enabled by default and SquirrelMail developers don't have
information about your setup.

This is related to the earlier thread about global_abook not working
if you are using mysql. I experienced the same problem Martin did. I did see that there is a patch available for 1.4.4 to fix this issue:

"Address book can add entries only to personal address book."

I just downloaded 1.4.6 from squirrelmail.org and I can see now that the patch has been incorporated into 1.4.6.

I ran into a problem where an update (apt-get) on a debian system broke the global_abook functionality as fixed by the patch mentioned earlier. I thought the squirrelmail installation on my server had been updated (by apt-get) to 1.4.6, and was concerned whether the global_abook patch was incorporated into the 1.4.6 release. Apparently my squirrelmail installation was not updated to 1.4.6, though.

My mistake, sorry.

Johannes
