Hi...
I have my squirrelmail personalizated according my needs: a lot of plugins, settings and an own theme too. I saw some security bugs in this versions, so I would want to upgrade my squirrilmail version without having to install and configure everything again! Is there a way to patch that instalation to upgrade it? What is the best manner to upgrade it?
read the UPGRADE file in the main SM directory. the difference between 1.4.3a and 1.4.4 in terms of config file and any plugins you have should be minimal to zero, so you can probably copy over config/config.php and all your NON-CORE plugins to the new installation of 1.4.4 and you'll be good to go. however, if you have installed any plugins that required source patches, you'll need to reapply those.
